Dear High School Freshers,

First of all… Congrats on successfully completing your primary school exams. We are extremely proud of you!!!

Welcome to high school. We know you feel anxious, scared, excited or a mixture of all of the above but don’t worry you’ll do amazing. And look on the bright side, you already have amazing big brothers and sisters to guide you along the way - (that’s us lol).

High school will be a pivotal moment in your life, filled with life lessons, awesome (and horrible) experiences and lots and lots of knowledge that will stick with you for the REST OF YOUR LIFE.

We are here to help you WIN at school and to grab every opportunity that we know will come your way. This is your chance to create long lasting friendships, learn more about yourself and have fun! (No we haven’t forgotten about getting good grades too, that’s definitely a part of the plan!)

With that said – take it from us, DO NOT have your head in the books all the time! High school is filled with so many opportunities for self- development. Try out whatever interests you until you find your niche! Be a risk taker, and join a club you’d never thought of joining (Cadets maybe?) – try out a sport even!

IMPORTANT NOTE - Write this down! It is OKAY to not pass every single test. The truth is that we win some and we lose some – it's a part of life. Learn from your mistakes and don’t be too hard on yourself. (Mom and Dad, if you’re reading this – don't beat down on your little King or Queen if this happens, give them a nice big hug and a kiss on the cheek and encourage them to do better next time).

Finally, do not settle for mediocrity! Give everything you do in high school your all— trust us, the benefits will come thereafter. Have patience and be happy with knowing that you did your best. Only you define who you are, so don’t let anyone tell you who you are or who you should be. Don’t be anything else but yourself! Don’t let them limit you! (and don’t limit yourself!).
